The International Technical Committee for the Prevention and Extinction
of Fire was founded in Paris in 1900 to encourage and promote co-operation
among fire fighters in the world and other experts in the field of fire and
rescue.
Over a century later, it has become famous internationally and has brought
together nearly 50 member countries and several private and public organisations
as associate members.
